HBS Professor Peter Olson, Russian Economy School Rector Sergey Guriev, Higher School of Economics Professor Isak Froumine

On April 15th The Harvard Club of Russia organized panel discussion featuring HBS professor Peter Olson, the Rector of the New Economic School Sergei Guriev and Isak Froumin, a professor of the Higher School of Economics.

Mr. Olson was leading a discussion on the disruption in global education: the future of university, post-university and vocational education.

Peter Olson is the Co-CEO of the Fullbridge Program. He graduated from Harvard College (A.B. magna cum laude 1972), Harvard Law School (Juris Doctor cum laude 1976), and Harvard Business School (M.B.A. 1976). After working as a lawyer and a banker he entered book publishing, becoming Chairman and the worldwide CEO of Random House in 1998-2008. Since 2008 he has been a Senior Lecturer at the Harvard Business School.

Sergei Guriev is a Professor of Economics and the Rector of the New Economic School in Moscow. He is also the President of the Centre for Economic and Financial Research at the New Economic School; the President of the Centre for Economic and Financial Research at the New Economic School. Prof.Guriev’s research interests include contract theory, corporate governance, labor mobility, political economics, economics of development and transition.

Prof. Froumin, Academic Director of the HSE Institute of Education, is a renowned scholar studying universities' role in the global economy and innovations' development.
